Net-Monit

A production-grade, self-hosted network monitoring platform. Monitor ping latency, packet loss, CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth; track web application uptime and SSL expiry; run WAN speed tests; discover devices with a network scanner; and receive alerts with configurable thresholds, multi-level escalation and a full Acknowledge/Resolve workflow.

Why it matters

Monitoring tells you something is wrong before users do, and shows where, so problems are fixed faster.

Without it

Outages found by complaints, no history to explain what happened, and certificates that expire unnoticed.

What it does

A production-grade, self-hosted network monitoring platform. Monitor ping latency, packet loss, CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth; track web application uptime and SSL expiry; run WAN speed tests; discover devices with a network scanner; and receive alerts with configurable thresholds, multi-level escalation and a full Acknowledge/Resolve workflow.

  • Ping, SNMP, SSH, PowerShell and HTTP/HTTPS checks, plus disk usage and service/task status
  • Web application uptime and SSL expiry monitoring
  • Built-in WAN speed test with a live gauge and rate-limit handling
  • TCP and UDP port scanning and device discovery
  • Per-device escalation levels, thresholds and notification timing
  • Acknowledge and Resolve alert workflow with a full audit log
  • Multi-user with Admin and Viewer roles, per-user dashboards
  • AES-encrypted credential storage, backup and restore of device configuration

3D flow: how it works

  1. Check Ping, SNMP, SSH, PowerShell and HTTP checks run on the schedule you set.
  2. Compare Results are stored and compared with the thresholds set for each device.
  3. Escalate A breach raises an alert that escalates through the levels you define.
  4. Resolve Someone acknowledges and resolves the alert; every step is kept in the audit log.

PC Admin Tools

Best basic performance fine-tuning tool for admins and support persons. 36 remote operations run over WinRM against Windows machines, from a desktop app or a browser.

Why it matters

Support teams repeat the same fixes on many Windows machines. Doing them remotely, consistently and with a log saves time and mistakes.

Without it

Walking to machines, inconsistent fixes and no record of what was changed.

What it does

Best basic performance fine-tuning tool for admins and support persons. 36 remote operations run over WinRM against Windows machines, from a desktop app or a browser.

  • Same 36 operations and categories across all three editions
  • Sensitive operations (reboot, network interruption, long tasks) need explicit confirmation
  • Test Connection before running; choose the authentication transport
  • Timestamped log for every session
  • Targets need only WinRM enabled (Enable-PSRemoting -Force)

3D flow: how it works

  1. Choose Pick one of the 36 operations; the same list exists in all three editions.
  2. Confirm Sensitive operations such as a reboot or network interruption ask for explicit confirmation.
  3. Run over WinRM The operation runs remotely on each target; only WinRM needs to be enabled there. Use Test Connection first.
  4. Log Every session is written to a timestamped log.

Why we are specialised in it

Built by our own administrators for real support work, in three editions, with confirmation on sensitive operations and a log of every session.

  • Targets must be Windows with WinRM enabled
  • Web edition sends credentials over plain HTTP by default: restrict to a trusted network or add TLS

iFiNeX

An expense tracker, card payment tracker and squad splitter in one app, for mobile and web.

Why it matters

Shared costs and card payments are easy to lose track of. One app for expenses, cards and splitting keeps it simple.

Without it

Forgotten payments, awkward conversations about who owes what and no overview of spending.

What it does

An expense tracker, card payment tracker and squad splitter in one app, for mobile and web.

  • Expense tracker
  • Card payment tracker
  • Squad splitter for shared costs (formerly Squad Split)

3D flow: how it works

  1. Open the app Use iFiNeX on mobile or on the web.
  2. Track expenses Record what you spend and see where it goes.
  3. Track card payments Keep card payments in one place so none are missed.
  4. Split with a squad Share costs with friends or housemates and see who owes what.
  5. See the summary All three feed one clear picture of your money.

Illustrative flow of a typical setup. Not live customer data.

Why we are specialised in it

We built and publish iFiNeX ourselves (formerly Squad Split), for mobile and web.

Cloud identity and access

What it is

Microsoft's cloud identity service (formerly Azure Active Directory). It signs users in to Microsoft 365, Azure and thousands of other apps, and decides who may access what.

3D flow: how it works

  1. Sign in The user signs in, using multi-factor or passwordless authentication.
  2. Assess Conditional Access weighs the user, the device, the location and the sign-in risk.
  3. Decide The result is to allow, require more proof, or block, before any app is reached.

Security

  • Multi-factor authentication and passwordless sign-in
  • Conditional Access: allow, block or require MFA based on user, device, location and risk
  • Role-based admin roles and privileged identity controls

AI direction

  • Risk-based sign-in and user-risk detection using machine learning
  • Signals feed Conditional Access so risky sessions are challenged automatically
  • AI-assisted security investigation tools are available in the wider Microsoft security stack

Veeam Backup & Replication

Backup, replication and recovery

What it is

Backup and recovery software for virtual, physical and cloud workloads. It takes image-level restore points, replicates workloads, and can start a failed machine directly from backup.

3D flow: how it works

  1. Protect A backup job takes image-level restore points of each workload.
  2. Store Restore points are kept in a hardened repository so they cannot be altered.
  3. Copy and verify A further copy goes offsite or offline (the 3-2-1 rule) and backup data is checked for ransomware signs.
  4. Recover Choose a clean restore point and restore, or start the machine directly from backup.

Security

  • Immutable and hardened repositories so backups cannot be altered
  • 3-2-1 copy strategy: three copies, two media, one offsite or offline
  • Encryption of backup data and role-based access

AI direction

  • Malware and anomaly detection on backup data to spot ransomware activity
  • Helps choose a clean restore point after an attack
  • Automation of recovery testing and reporting

Data loss prevention

What it is

Data loss prevention software that finds and classifies sensitive data, then monitors or blocks it as it moves through endpoints, email, web and cloud apps.

3D flow: how it works

  1. Data moves Someone tries to send, copy, upload or print data.
  2. Classify Policies recognise personal data, source code and regulated information.
  3. Act Depending on the policy and the user's risk, the action is blocked, encrypted, warned about or simply logged.
  4. Review Incidents keep the evidence an investigator needs.

  • Block, encrypt, warn or log when data leaves via USB, email, upload or print
  • Incident review with evidence for investigators

AI direction

  • Machine-learning classification of unstructured data
  • Risk-adaptive protection that tightens controls as user risk rises
